how should we change the interior boundary into normal one?

Hi,

I am working on a CFD model with 2D, I has a geometry within an rectangle because the surrounding environment is necessary.

The problem comes out. I want to apply inlet and outlet on the inside geometry, while all these boundaries are not applicable except continuation. I search relative topics in this discussion forum, one way is that using assembly mode. But it is only useful for CAD import.

Is there any one have ways to solve this problem?
By the way, I use version4.1.

Hi

if you have a fluid domain, the inlets and outlets are by definition external boundaries to the fluid. Matter cannot apear in the middle of nowhere,or ?

if you have a multiphysics model with solid, with fluids and other items you can define that only a part of your geoemtry is for the fluid, part for the solid etc. Then an "interiour" boundary of the full model, becomes an external boundary for the fluid.

This is basic physics and not a COMSOL artefact. With COMSOL you should always "think physics"
