LiveLink™ for MATLAB®

Mphnavigator

The mphnavigator function now includes a new column that shows the allowed value for properties where the allowed value is fixed or can be determined from the model, thus making it easier to work with a model. The wrapper function mphgetproperties has been updated to return the allowed values from the command line in MATLAB® environment.

Mphopen and Mphload

A new user interface (UI) has been created to assist with opening and searching for model files. This UI opens through the use of the mphopen command, previously introduced in COMSOL Multiphysics® 5.0, which adds several features to the mphload function that is still available. Mphload and mphopen now support the use of passwords for protected files.

Mphopen now opens a window that can be used to access the most recent files, search for models using patterns, and browse files. Mphopen now opens a window that can be used to access the most recent files, search for models using patterns, and browse files.

Mphgeom

Domain labels have been added to the plot window in order to improve the usability of LiveLink™ for MATLAB® when working on the command line. Additionally, there is improved support for 1D geometries.

New Plot Types

New plot types have been added to COMSOL Multiphysics and have been implemented in mphplot.

A plot showing Polarization Ellipses, a new plot type used by the Ray Optics Module in order to improve visualization of the polarization of rays. A vector tangent to the ellipse should indicate whether the ray should be available to distinguish between left-handed and right-handed polarization.
