Tunnel current RF Module

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Dear All,

Does any of you know how to model tunnel current between two electrodes in RF Module?

This is the structure:

I have for example two blocks of gold 50nm x 50nm x 50nm, and space between them about 5nm.

Now I want to illuminate that structure, with polarization of light E0*exp(-j*emw.k*z) in x direction (scattered field)

After simulation, I can find scattering cross section, absorption cross section, enhancement of the electric field in that space between blocks, but I don't know how to apply some bias on that structure.

Do you know the way how is it possible to apply bias in RF module or maybe do you know some equations which can be relations between electric field and tunnel current, bias voltage, etc...

Thank you for every help.
