Using same selections in multiple components

Hi,

Is there a way to reuse selections defined in component 1 of a model in component 2 of the same model? Thanks in advance!

In most cases, the geometry is not the same in two components. If it were, why use a second component at all? Thus, there is no way of automatically linking selections.

However, if you copy a component, the current selections will also be transferred to the new component. Any changes made thereafter will still be local.

If the geometries in the two components are similar, but not identical, it may be a good idea to use geometrical selections (box, ball, etc.), possibly defined by common global parameters.
