How to get electric volt from electric field?

In my model, I put two piezoelectric sensors in a passive mode on metal plate. There is electric field and electric voltage generated on the sensor because of the displacement on the surface but I don't understand how comsol takes the integral of this electric field with respect to x(length) to obtain electric potential.
