Normalize mode's energy

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

I am designing an optical waveguide, and by using COMSOL I am trying to find its mode. Now, I'd like to normalize the mode's energy. I mean, as you know there is a color bar on the right side of the domain which shows the color corresponded to amount of energy of the mode in different part of the domain.

I want to normalize the energy of this mode so that the maximum and minimum number of this bar should be between zero and one. Could you please help me to it?

Hi Akram. I'm looking into doing the same. Have you found any solutions yet ?

I divide my entire field by the maximum value in the field. This approach seems to work, as it does not affect the distribution.

I need to confirm this though...
