Maxop point type settings

Hi,

I want to do an integration in COMSOL using the maxop operator. I noticed that I can change the point type beween node points, integration points and lagrange points. However, I am not sure I understand the main differences between them and which one is better for my purpose, which is to calculate the maximum temperature within a certain number of points. From what I understand:

  • If node points is selected then COMSOL gives me the value of the hottest node
  • If Integration points is selected it evaluates the temperature using a certain number of nodes around each node
  • If Lagrange points is selected it evaluates the temperature using a certain number of points between each node
  • Is this correct? If so, how can I select the number of points to evaluate the integral? How many points correspond to each integral order?

Regards, Nichal
