Problem with Contact Resistance

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hello All,

I have a model in which I am trying to insert contact resistance between the portion labeled "A" and "B". It worked previously however now it is not.

If someone could look at my model and tell me if I changed a setting I would appreciate it.

Thank you for your assistance.

Regards,

John Haase

Hi

there are 2 things:

1) when you use pairs, you must select the pair in the list to populate the boundary block, that was not done for your resistive layer

2) you must define your material properties for your boundary. when you define a material it applies strictly to "domains" or exclusively to Boundaries (not to both) so you are better off using "User defined thin boundary layer material data. Or you must define a new material entry (even if the same as one of the two others, which one for a common boundary ? and select boundary material properties)

Good luck
