Varying channel thickness/Getting information out of the simulation.

I am currently taking a grad class in Micro and Nanofluidics. I have a 2-D simulation of a droplet traveling through a channel with a 1-D flow and need to get some geometric information about the droplet deformation. I need to get the diameter of the droplet (both parallel and perpendicular to the flow), as well as position, and time information about the drop. I'm new to COMSOL (especially multiphysics 4.1) and I really don't know how to accomplish this task. I would appreciate any help in this matter. Thank you very much in advance.
