Brinkman's equation

Hi,
I am using free and porous medium to model a fluid in a 3D model, I don't understand what is the meaning of the following term:
-2/3(mhu/epsilon)*(div(velocity))
where it comes from, since in the reference of the brinkman's theory is not present.
