Band structure of phononic crystals with a defect

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Dear all,

I am researching energy confinement using phononic crystals with a defect.

The unit lattic structure of phononic crystals is composed of solid.

I have two questions

1) In comsol, is it possible to get a dispersion relation without using Floquet periodicity?

2) To find a dispersion curve of the phononic crystal struture, I apply Floquet periodicity in supercell with the defect. Even though the location of defect is changed, the dispersion curves show same result. I guess it is because we assume it is infinite plate. For finite case, how can I get the dispersion curve by comsol?

Thanks
