Join us for a live webinar presented by Dr. Harish Dixit, professor of electrical and electronics engineering at BITS Pilani, Hyderabad campus.

In this webinar, Dr. Dixit will discuss how he evaluated the RF and thermal performance of an interdigital-type traveling wave antenna using the COMSOL Multiphysics® software. Such antennas are used for launching fast waves in reactor-grade plasma to sustain the current for a longer duration. The presentation will cover how simulation was used to design appropriate cooling systems for the antenna in vacuum as well as under seawater loading conditions.

The webinar will conclude with a comparison between the simulated results and experimental findings, along with a Q&A session.

Dr. Harish Vijay Dixit BITS Pilani, Hyderabad Campus

Dr. Harish Vijay Dixit currently works as an assistant professor of electrical and electronics engineering at Birla Institute of Technology And Science, Pilani (BITS Pilani), Hyderabad Campus. Dr. Dixit received his PhD as well as his master's degree in electronics engineering from Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute (VJTI), Mumbai, and has over 12 years of teaching and research experience. He has worked on several research projects funded by major government organizations in India, including the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC), Board of Research in Nuclear Sciences (BRNS), and Aeronautics Research & Development Board (ARDB). Dixit's research interests include electromagnetics, microwave and RF engineering, multiphysics analysis, and pulsed power technology.
