This webinar will cover the functionality of the Corrosion Module for computing current density distribution during the galvanic corrosion and corrosion protection processes. The effect of part shapes, ohmic, activation, and mass transport resistance are considered. It will include galvanic corrosion modeling, design of active cathodic protection ,modeling of systems with sacrificial anodes among others.


Kiran received his PhD in Chemical engineering from the University of Sheffield, UK. He joined COMSOL India in July 2012. He has previously worked as a Senior Researcher at GM Global R&D, Bangalore for 5 years, on numerical modelling of galvanic corrosion involving light weight materials. He has also worked with MHT Technology Ltd., UK, for 2 years on modeling of LNG storage tanks.
