Why could the resultant temperature (T) be lower than absolute zero degrees?

I want to simulate the phenomenon where, when powered up, one side of a Peltier cooler cools down while the other side heats up, as shown in this video. Then, for a case like this, I shouldn't set either side to a fixed boundary condition, right?
