Changing "tmpdir"

I know there are a few ways to approach this. Unfortunately, my computer is on a network and thus I do not have administrative power on this computer. I cannot change the "comsol.ini file" for this reason. I tried to change the "Target" line in the program shortcut to incorporate -tmprdir C:\... as well as to -h and both produce an error stating that the command specified in the Target box is not valid. Can anyone help me with the target command? Or is there another, potentially easier, way to do this?
