rectangular function parameter defination

lower limit 2 upper limit 3
size of transition 0.1
i have defined voltage as vtot = 0.5 in the parameter
now i want apply voltage to the conductor form 2 sec to 3sec
problem is that when applying electric potential on boundry 9 and i write Vo = vtot*rect1
the expression is not supported when i run the simulation it gives error
Failed to evaluate variable Jacobian.
- Variable: rect1
- Geometry: 1
- Boundary: 9
