Size of Mesh in PML

I am modeling 3D pressure acoustics. Does the mesh of the PML have to be as fine as the mesh in the primary air domain?

I want the PML to utilize as few elemnts as possible. The PML automatically adapts the mesh so that it matches the mesh size in the air domain, so the transition from smaller elements to larger is more or less "continuous ".

Hi

The best is to have the PML defined as "layers" in the geoemtry section and have them with sweep mesh (in the shape of onion shells around your volume) then I mostly use 5-7 elements in the thickness but that is mainly for ACDC not sure hoe it is for accoustic or RF havent really tried, but you can parametrise th number of levels and take a look on a simple example, that is often the best approach
