Guidance to solve Heat transfer analysis problem (comsol 4.0)
Hi,
My name is Fahid Amin and I have a heat transfer problem to solve. I have a box enclosing a fuel cell system and in which there are sources of heat generation like stack, circuit board along with dissipator, a pump which adds heat in the box when it is running. the box which contain fuel cell system is internally cold using forced convection. the exit flow rate of air is 0.052 m3/sec. But when I try to compute the solution I get an error of maximum number of newton iterations has reached.
I have tried to solve this problem using laminar flow . Please guide me how can i solve it for flow rate of 0.052m3/sec.
Thanking you in advance.
Yours truly,
Fahid Amin

Re: Guidance to solve Heat transfer analysis problem (comsol 4.0)
Hello Fahid,
I only started using COMSOL a few weeks ago, but I've had the same problem in the past and my solution is to increase the number of allowable iterations. You should spend some time looking through the generated study to learn a little more about the different options you can change. If you do, you'll find the number of allowable iterations as well.
Thanks,
Joe

you could also turn on the isentropic diffusion for your flow it'll help the convergence.
